Splish Splashin' Summer!

This summer we have been at my mom and dad's pool practically everyday. It has been so nice to have a pool in the family where the kids can swim and we can have a fun time as a family.

At the beginning of the summer Sharlee wanted nothing to do with the water and now she jumps in with her pink little floaties and loves to go under the water and swim in the deep end of the pool.

Brayden started the summer out swimming with his floaties in the shallow end and then went gradually into the deep end. A couple of weeks later he started jumping off the diving board with floaties. And now he is swimming without floaties and jumping off the diving board without floaties and he learned how to doggie paddle in the deep end. He is like a little fish, it still makes me nervous but I am so happy that he is learning how to swim all by himself. :) Here are some pictures of the kids in the pool this summer. I hope all of you are having a great summer.

Brayden on the diving board.

Brayden (a.k.a. Superman) is jumping in mid air off the diving board. :)

Brayden doggie paddling in the deep end to the ladder.

Sharlee and cousin Jaxon swimming in the deep end. No fear!

Another awesome jump by Brayden, this time in the center of the pool. Crazy!

After jumping, Brayden swam the distance all the way to the shallow end to his Uncle Spencer. I was so proud of him!

Picture of Brayden in the pool! Such a cutie pie.

Little Miss Sharlee Kay saying cheese in the pool. So cute she is.

FRIENDS, COUSINS, AND ALL BOY! We had Jen and the kids in town this week and went swimming with them. We had a blast! I love this picture of them two.

Happy 4th of July!

We had such a fun Fourth of July! We started the day with the Don Cies Real Estate Parade in Brookhaven. The kids got all dressed in the 4th of July clothes and walked all the way to the Brookhaven park for drinks and popscicles. After the parade we all went back to Grandma and Grandpa's for a yummy breakfast brunch and then went swimming all day. That evening we had a BBQ and went to Reeves Park for the wonderful fireworks show. It was a great 4th of July and we couldn't help but think of our wonderful troops fighting for the freedoms that we enjoy in this great country, especially our dear brother Scott. We thank you and love you. We hope you all had a great 4th!

Brayden's Pine Wood Derby Experience

Our Stake Primary planned a Pine Wood Derby Activity for all the kids in our stake. Brayden was so excited to make his Pine wood derby car. Jon and Brayden worked on it together and he decided that it needed to look like the Speed Racer car. For his birthday his Grandma Bittle gave him a Speed Racer shirt so he wore it on the day of the event. It was so much fun!

This was the cool track where all the kids raced their pine wood derby cars on. This was the second heat that Brayden raced his car in and he ended up making 1st in the heat, he was so excited.
